Hard Rock Plants Seeds of Conservation

Lil' Rockers Menu shows kids how to protect the environment

Hard Rock International is hoping its company's motto "Save the Planet" will be adopted by its youngest patrons. In conjunction with the Arbor Day Foundation (www.arborday.org), Hard Rock kicked off its new Lil' Rockers Menu on Arbor Day, April 25.

The Lil' Rockers Menu features kids' meals packaged with fun activities that show youngsters how they can help protect the environment. The meals also include tree seed packets to encourage kids to plant trees that will in turn help produce more oxygen and preserve wildlife habitats.

Hard Rock International also has teamed up with the Arbor Day Foundation and made a commitment to plant at least 25,000 trees this year. With the help of the new Lil' Rockers menu, Hard Rock and the Arbor Day Foundation hope to help plant an additional one million trees in 2008.

The company says that its Lil' Rockers menu will help to teach children how to "Rock. Reuse. Recycle.," as each meal comes with four pages of eco-friendly activities, as well as recyclable "Save the Planet" cups and lids. Lil' Rockers can choose from such food items as "Oven-Roasted Chicken Salad, "Cheesy Mac" and "Pasta With Red Sauce."
